If you are looking to take a tropical vacation, whether it be by air or cruise, Costa Rica has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The country is placed between 2 oceans, Pacific and  Caribbean, and has hundreds of miles of beautiful white, grey and black sandy beaches to choose from regardless of where you decide to go on your Costa Rica vacation.

The following are some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches we visited during our trip, organized for us by Nina. We had a great relaxing vacation as a couple and thought it will be better to write a short article, which Nina will be able to use on her site.

Tamarindo Beach is a wonderful beach to spend time on for beginner surfers, who we were at the time of our tip. The mild waves prepare the beginner for rougher waves to come. The town is a lot of fun, has great restaurants, hotels, several surf shops and very artistic crowd of occupants and visitors. It is a fun town and turns it to the party at night. We really enjoyed, spending couple of days here. Another nice thing about Tamarindo Beach is that’s it’s not far from Langosta, which is a much quieter beach good for laying in the sun and swimming when you don’t feel like surfing.

Conchal Beach – Playa Conchal, unbelievable beauty, extends with the beautiful white sands. It’s less populated and more private, and a great place to check out the coral reef and bring your snorkeling gear. You can have very nice relaxing day here and stay in the nice Conchal Resort which is a very nice resort – hotel in the area.

While staying for couple of days in Playa del Coco and having a lot of fun there, we travel to couple more beaches. We really wanted to explore the beaches of Costa Rica as well as different towns, so we can see if it worth and what would it take to purchase the property in Costa Rica. We visited Nacascolo Beach on the Papagayo Peninsula is exclusive to the area and also not very populated. You need to know, how to get to this exclusive beach, surrounded by exclusive hotels, which closed the roads in many places. Nascascolo is perfect for tourists or vacationers who like to kayak. There are kayak rental places in abundance, and it’s also great for paddle boarding and snorkeling.

Then we moved to the more Southern part of Costa Rica, where we visited Manuel Antonio natural Reserve and beaches in this side of country.

Manuel Antonio Beach off the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is known for it’s beautiful deep turquoise water. This is the best place for snorkeling, and the beauty of the water is something to behold. It is the gem of the country.

Serious surfers may like to visit the world renowned Dominical Beach, which we visited, after our trip to Manuel Antonio Park.  This beach is revered by surfers because of the ‘rad’ waves. For safety’s sake, the Dominical Beach has year-round lifeguards. It’s heavily populated because of many restaurants, cabins and eco-resorts in the area. The town of Dominical also very pretty, reminding Tamarindo beach, but in another area of Costa Rica.

Costa Ballena or Whale Coast is the beach where you can take a land/sea tour to see humpback whales on their return in August to October and December to April. Sea turtles also come to lay their eggs at Costa Bellena from May to November.

There are many other beaches in Costa Rica to choose from, depending on what you want to do on your vacation. Costa Rica is teeming with beautiful beaches, flora, fauna and something for everyone. We definitely greatly enjoyed out time here and cannot wait to come back for more adventures.
